About The Role

As Kuru’s founding product designer, you will be leading all efforts on how the product looks and feels. You will be owning the user experiences on desktop and mobile. You'll collaborate closely with the founders and have full freedom over design direction.

What You’ll Do

• Lead UI/UX across mobile and web – from rough wireframes to polished, hi-fidelity prototypes
• Talk to users to understand their needs and pain points
• Work closely with engineers (and be one yourself!) to bring designs to life
• Design micro-interactions and animations that enhance UX
• Move quickly – ship, test, learn, iterate
• Have complete freedom on design + interaction decisions

Who You Are

• 3-5 years of experience designing consumer-facing apps, with a focus on mobile
• Bringing designs to life through live prototypes and interactive demos
• Experience using tools like Figma and other design software
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (or willingness to learn)
• High agency and willing to move fast
